In daily service, your car will be subjected to rough roads, to all manner of weather conditions, and to the normal wear and tear that any piece of machinery has. You can reduce the effect of all of ill conditions by regular inspections and lubrication. You control this, as nothing we can do will help you, unless you, yourself, are willing to be assisted. Most owners are willing, and with that thought in mind, we have devised a simple Maintenance Service Plan which, if followed regularly, will give you the kind of satisfaction which you are entitled to got from our product. Lubrication regularly done prevents wear, because the very foundation of lubrication is to keep two metal surfaces separated with a thin film of oil. When this breaks down or dries up, wear immediately starts and, if not corrected, eventually results in an expensive repair bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oil in the motor will become dirty, full of burnt carbon and diluted with unburned gasoline. Its lubricating qualities are reduced and the fine carbon and dust drawn through the carburetor will begin scratching and smearing the moving parts. The oil should be changed regularly. The cost is slight compared with the damaging results and ultimate repair bill. Bolts will loosen because, no matter what precautions a manufacturer takes, the constant pounding and straining of the entire chassis in being driven rapidly over uneven road surfaces will cause bolts and nuts to loosen. When they become loose, wear and distortion takes place, which will eventually cost a considerable sum to correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrical connections will work loose, causing unbalanced loads to be placed on one or more units. Undue electrical stresses, sparking and heating result with eventual injury. Nearly all electrical failures are caused by loose contacts which can be greatly reduced by a regular tightening of all connections. These are the causes of more dissatisfaction and expensive repair bills than any other factors in the operation of a motor car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the following pages we have set forth a series of lubrication and tightening operations which should be performed at regular intervals of 500 Miles each. We have priced these so that the cost per mile is at the lowest possible point.To assist you in determining when you have driven 500 miles, a small sticker will be pasted directly above the season mileage numerals on your speedometer head. This sticker will contain three figures corresponding to the three last figures on the season mileage dial. Whenever the last three digit&amp; equal the printed figures on the sticker it is time to bring your car to our Service Station. By checking off the operations as they are performed, you can determine in advance exactly how much the next and succeeding operations will cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember, the old adage, &#8220;a stitch in time saves nine,&#8221; applies with peculiar force to the operation of a motor car.
